As we expand, we’re looking for a skilled and customer-focused WordPress Support Specialist to join our support team.
Job Summary
The WordPress Support Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for HostPawa customers experiencing website-related issues. This role involves providing timely, accurate, and friendly support for WP sites hosted on our servers — including troubleshooting common errors, managing installations, and assisting with hosting-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer support requests via live chat, email, and phone.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common WP issues like plugin conflicts, update errors, and site downtime.
- Assist customers with WP installations, migrations, backups, and security best practices.
- Support customers with hosting control panel (cPanel/WHM) tasks related to their websites.
- Provide clear, beginner-friendly explanations and solutions to customers.
- Document common issues and their solutions in our internal knowledge base.
- Escalate complex issues to the technical team when necessary.
- Educate customers about HostPawa’s services, promotions, and website care tips.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of WP core, plugins, themes, and typical troubleshooting steps.
- Basic understanding of web hosting, cPanel/WHM, and domain management.
- At least 6 months of experience in a customer support, technical support, or helpdesk role (preferably in hosting or WP support).
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Patience and empathy when dealing with customers of varying technical skill levels.
Bonus Skills (Not Mandatory)
- Experience with WooCommerce.
- Familiarity with website speed optimization.
- Basic SEO knowledge.
- Knowledge of Linux hosting environments.
